Gala Porras-Kim will be featured in "Hacer Noche", Oaxaca
OAXACA DE JUÁREZ, MÉXICO – FROM SEPT 3 - DEC 4, 2022

Hacer Noche is honored to present “Promised Land,” the 2022 edition of its multi-venue festival in Oaxaca City, Mexico. Opening September 3, “Promised Land” features exhibitions at more than 20 participating institutions and public spaces throughout the city and territory of Oaxaca until December 2022. Comprised of installations, programming, publications, and performances, the 2022 Hacer Noche festival is headlined by major new commissions by leading local and international artists.

“Promised Land” is envisioned as a project of projects, all entirely free and open to everyone, and produced by the not-for-profit Mexico-based arts collective Hacer Noche, which held its first multi-venue contemporary art festival in Oaxaca in 2018, with works by 42 artists from Southern Africa. The largely expanded second edition is convened by guest curator-at-large, Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA), and artistic director of Hacer Noche, Francisco Berzunza.
