This book presents the mise-en-scène created by Mexican artist Pedro Reyes, who was commissioned by the Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City. The project is part of the Baby Marx series, which explores the contradictions between socialism and capitalism, two ideologies which still permeate today’s culture.The script of the mise-en-scène is set in a contemporary context and deals with themes such as radical ideology, transparency, and information control. Marionettes are used to represent key characters, including Vladimir Lenin, Ernesto Che Guevara, Karl Marx, Adam Smith, Leon Trotsky, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Diego Rivera, Steve Jobs, and Julian Assange.
